Maskillea Airlines (Hesurian: Fluggesellschaft Maskillea), commonly known and shortened as Maskillea, is the flag carrier and the largest airline of Mascylla. The airline, founded in 1981, provides scheduled and charter air transport for passengers and cargo to 52 destination worldwide; it is the largest airline in Mascylla measured by fleet size and passengers carried. Maskillea Airlines' registered office and corporate headquarters are in Köpenick, Königsreh. The main operations base, called the Maskillea Operations Basis, is at the airline's primary hub at Königsreh–Albert Polschnitz Airport, and its secondary base, the Flights Operations Basis, is located at Flussmund-Lachsen International Airport. Together with its regional partners, it operates a vast international and domestic travel network.
The Mascyllary government founded the state-owned Mascyllary Air Transports as the first national airline in 1937. In March 1955, regional air transport companies and Mascyllary Air Transports merged to form Mascyllary Airlines following governmental approval. After the introduced deregulation of Mascylla's airline market in the 1970s, the airline was privatised and Interflug founded. In 1993, with the acquisition of MascAir, the airline lost its biggest rival, but under worsening revenue performance, reorganized with a new name and rebranding, Maskillea Airlines. The local subsidiary of MascAir and Interflug was renounced disbanded in 2003 however. The airline today largely retains its brand familiarity to Interflug and is often directly associated with its predecessor.
Besides its own services, and its direct subsidiaries Maskillea Cargo, Maskillea Express and Maskillea InLand, the airline maintains its own several avaiation- and logistics-related companies, such as Maskillea Consulting and Manage, and Maskillea Industry Providers, as part of the Mascair AG. Maskillea Airlines has a varied fleet of wide-body aircraft for long-haul flights and smaller ones for shorter routes. In total, it maintained over 164 aircraft in 2018.
