In 1991 he entered the cabinet of [[Wolfgang Löscher]] as the Minister of Defence leaving cabinet in 1995 following the defeat of the {{Wp|purple (government)|purple government}}. von Hößlin returned to government in 2007 when he was appointed Minister of Justice in the first cabinet of [[Dietrich Wittmann]]. Following the 2011 election von Hößlin was promoted to Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In 2014 von Hößlin was appointed as Second Deputy High Commissioner and Commissioner for the Budget and Social Matters in the Euclean Commission of [[Alexandre Lévesque]]. He resigned from the Commission in 2018 following the resignation of Chancellor Wittmann to run for PMZ leader. He was elected as PMZ leader in April 2018 subsequently being sworn in as Prime Minister.

Otto von Hößlin (born (1952-06-24)24 June 1952, aged 65) is a Weranian politician who is currently the Chancellor of Werania. The leader of the National Consolidation Party since 2015 von Hösslin previously served in several ministerial roles including in Industrial Strategy and Employment (1999-2004) Health (2004-2008) and Defence (2008-2011).

Prior to entering politics von Hösslin worked as a corporate lawyer representing WIA Holdings (the state-owned oil company in Werania) before being elected to parliament at the 1991 general election for the NKP.
