Palmara (palˈmʌɪrə, pal·mara), officially the Republic of Palmara, is a sovereign state and group of islands located in the Carribean, consisting of 5 districts and 6 islands. With a total area of approximately 129 square kilometers (49 sqaure miles), Palmara is the one of the smallest independent republics in the Americas. The nation shares maritime borders with Angullia and the British Virgin Islands. Palmara's capital is Tikalani, and its most populated city is St. Palmara with 98,187 residents.

Ancestors of Palmara's indigenous peoples migrated across the Carribean region more than 12,000 years ago. Beginning in 1612, British colonization led to the establishment of the St. Palmara settlement in what is now the City of St. Palmara. In 1956, negations started for an independent nation under black majority rule. Due to the unstableness of the Palmara region - it was decied the British Crown would appoint a Palmaran-Anglo family as the Monarchy of Palmara until Black Majority would take over, which led to the Palmaran Civil War.

Following a series of treaties, conflicts, and acquisitions, the Palmaran Monarchy was overthrown in 1980. Witch then led to the People's Republic of Palmara (1980-1991). In December of 1991, the Socialist Republic was couped by American and British governments to form the modern-day Republic of Palmara.
