Constitution of Caspiaa

The Parliament of Caspiaa is the supreme legislature of Caspiaa, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Caspiaa. It is located in Viitaniemi. The unicameral parliament has 419 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. The assembly is led by a president and, since 2009, four vice presidents: the presidium. The members are allocated to twelve standing committees as well as four procedural committees. Parliamentarianism was established in 1884, with the Parliament operating a form of "qualified unicameralism", in which it divided its membership into two internal chambers making Caspiaa a de facto bicameral parliament.

Following the 2022 election, four parties are represented in parliament: the Social Democratic Party (199), the Greens (2), the Conservative Party (196), and the New National Party (22). Since 2022, Bjarne Sundahl has been President of the Parliament, and Tullia Grönberg is Prime Minister.
