This guide to the lore of Eurth serves as an OOC explanation for new players. Beware that these contents contain a mix of both IC and OOC references.

Geography

• Eurth is not Earth.
• The climate is slightly warmer.
• The New World is written as New Wurld.
• Nobody owns Antargis. It is administrated by the ARTHA.
• All empty land is considered to be peopled, but through "fog of war" these countries don't communicate much.

History

• No Bering Strait — Azanian explorers sailed to Marenesia around 50,000 BCE. This was a very slow process. Their descendents would be the first to find the New Wurld (Argis, Alharu, Aurelia). This happened before the written word. On several occasions, the New Wurld was re-discovered by later groups of peoples.
• No Roman Empire — The Aroman Empire existed as an analogue to the Roman Empire, but with predominantly Greek-Byzantine origins. The cultural heir to this legacy is in Occidental Europa, centred around Tagmatium. There exist countries in the New Wurld who trace their origins back to Aroma. For example: the Great Aroman migration to Salvia in 125 CE.
• Some Vikings — Buranian sailers, notorious for their coastal raids and city sackings, also sail into the Adlantic Ocean to hunt for whales. Some of these arrived on the tip of East Argis.
• No Christopher Columbus — The Age of Discovery is called the Age of Reconnection, when the old and new wurlds re-established their lines of communication.
  • !French Lysians move to Argis in the 1500s, which leads to Delamaria.
  • !Spanish Gran Viatge (1593-1620), involving religious undertones and connection with West Argis.
  • !English People of Great Anglia arrived in Kingsland in 1842, which leads to Gallambria.
• Renaissance and Enlightenment are combined into one longer period called the Elevation.
• No World Wars — There were no real analogues to WW1 or WW2. Instead, there were.

• Thorium energy is not operational.

• A pope lives in Salvia.
