Mugen, or commonly known by his naturalized name Ken Kogami (高上賢), is an awakened human-hybrid male from Earth, and one of the founder of Orientia. He was formerly the President of Orientia, and currently holds the position as one of the First Order of Omega.

Born in a Southeast Asian country of Old Asia, Mugen is the second most powerful awakened in the Realms of the Multiverse, having awakened his own ability at a young age and was one of a prodigy in controlling Qi to some certain extent where he was able to combat well-trained soldiers and small militias. Later in life, he was experimented and trained by the Hurites in preparation against the Devil's invasion in the Third World War.

Personal Life

Early Life

Mugen (real name unknown) was born on 27 August, in a tropical Southeast Asian country ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, the first child of ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇, a ▇▇▇▇▇▇ government official, and ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. He lived in Japan for a while, but later came back to ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, where he grew up with his younger sibling in the neighborhood of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, in the city of ▇▇▇▇▇▇.

Teenage Years

Mugen's teenage life is mostly classified. News outlets were unable to obtain information as any interview attempts regarding the topic has been deliberately avoided by Mugen himself, and any leaked informations were immediately secured, most likely by Omega. The only disclosed information was that he reached red belt in Taekwondo and was also trained in Pencak Silat, although briefly.

Mugen awakened his first ability in high school where he was shocked by electricity when he tried to repair a faulty cable line in class. His ability was triggered by this very event, where a few days later he'd accidentally cause a power outage in school, which, only Tianshi noticed. After his first awakening, his sole focus was to train until he was able to fully control it. In high school, he was approached by Tianshi, who was an awakener as well, to form Urban Jungle, a vigilante-animal-themed superhero team, and took the name Manux.

Adult Years

Mugen studied in the ██████████ University, majoring in Japanese language and literature. He splitted paths with Tianshi and disbanded the Urban Jungle, where he decided to focus on his studies. Although, occasionally worked as a vigilante under the name of "Delta". He neutralized (and often killed) criminals and anyone that he deemed was harmful against humanity. Eventually, he earned his bachelor degree and later worked as a social media marketing officer for a local company, before leaving to study abroad in the Japan a year later in 2025.

During his journey abroad in the Japan, he obtained an M.A. degree and initially worked as a Japanese language teacher for foreign migrant workers in a manufacturing company. He left and later employed in Neon Corporation as digital marketer. In 2034, he was one among thousands of eligible foreigners to be part of Repopulation Program. Eventually he naturalized as a Japanese, changed his name to "Kogami Ken", which laid the foundation for the Kogami Clan, and bought an old estate in Chiba. Later in life, he joined Golden Circle, a worldwide awakened organization disguised as an NGO. He managed to obtain a high position for the Japanese branch through his activities and power measures.

Heavenly Jade

In 2036, the planet of the Hurites, New Eden, was invaded by the Devil. The invasion almost wiped their entire planet and left a 1/3 of their population hypnotized, transforming them into "The Thrails". Some of the surviving Hurites took shelter in a massive series of caverns deep under the ruined planet's surface, and built a city called "Kuramtu", close to the planet's core, for warmth, power, and protection. The cause of the invasion was known to be the existence of Heavenly Jades, a collection of legendary, powerful stones that were believed to have fallen from heaven and scattered across the universe.

One of the jade, the "Soul Jade" was in the hands of Hurites, and was stolen by the Devil during the invasion. The Hurites eventually embarked on a journey to find the remaining jades, one of them revealed to be on Earth, known by Muslims as Hajar Aswad. As they collected the remaining jades, they also tried to find a suitable living being to wield the jades and protect them from the Devil. Among hundred candidates, Mugen was deemed to be the most suitable, and thus was taken to New Eden.

As an untrained awakened, Mugen had to undergo rigorous training--both physically and mentally. He had a special diet--mainly consist of plants, fish, Šu (goat-like herbivore) and Galgal (camel-like herbivore). He was also taught Hurite martial arts (later known as Heaven-Shaking Iron Arts). The training went approximately for 1075 years in New Eden, as time flows differently. Occasionally, he returned to Earth using a Hurite portal, just to check on his family. As he finished his training, a special device containing the four heavenly jades were planted inside his body. His body reacted violently against the jades, and later, he fell into a coma.

While in a coma, he had to go through the jade's trials (seemingly, inside the jades' pocket universes) in six stages, awakening each of its user's sense; sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. On the first stage, Mugen had to withstand inability to taste; on second stage, inability to smell; on third stage, inability to feel; on fourth stage, inability to hear, and on fifth stage, inability to see. On the last stage, he had to withstand the divine power while having all of his senses completely restrained. All of these stages were deemed as a way to be completely grateful and submissive to the divinity.

And finally, by 2039 (of Earth time), Mugen woke up from his coma, and the jades found perfect balance with his body. His body glowed in various colors. The jades granted him power near the level of Celestials, granting him control over space, reality, time, and energy. Despite the powerful capabilities, he had to maintain a stable emotion and extort tremendous amount of strength and Qi to use all o the jades at the same time. He returned to earth a few months before the Third World War. When Tianshi was killed by the Devil, he was in charge of the human-awakened faction and successfully neutralized the Devil, although temporarily. After Tianshi's resurrection, they both fought together and finally liberated the Earth by 2041.

Ruling Years

Months after Amenria's independence, there was a political conflict between Mugen and Tianshi, where Tianshi was on monarchist faction and Mugen was on republican faction. The political conflict ceased for a while, but Mugen was growing the seeds of rebellion throughout Amenria, by gathering awakeners and founded the rebel organization Rising Dawn. The rebellion reached its peak in March 11, 2043 where the rebels stormed the capital. The day was marked as the beginning of War of the Dusk and Dawn.

Mugen fought Tianshi in his palace, resulting in the destruction of the entire land of Central Chinese plains. The fight lasted for a month, until they finally reached a ceasefire and agreement in April 2043. As part of the Treaty of Jeddah, he was appointed as the leader of the newly found Orientia, a country that is completely separate from Amenria. Mugen would rule for 4 years until later stepped down in 2047, giving his presidency seat to Yoo Jong-hyun (also known as "Sword Saint"). He remained as one of the First Order of Omega, as well as part of it's elite squad, the R.I.F.T.

Family

Mugen has an ████████-born parents and a younger sibling. In 2034, he brought all of his family to Japan and lived together, although in different cities.

Mugen's wife, Son Min-ju, is a former K-pop singer from the group LOVELYDAY. He dated Min-ju after the two met during a Neon Corporation project in Japan. They both got married in May 2030. They have two children, Kogami Yūto (born 2030) and Kogami Tsuki (born 2032).

Religion

Mugen was born into a muslim family, and throughout his life, he went to private islamic middle school and high school. He claims himself as a sunni muslim of a Shafi'i school.

Powers

Heavenly jade

Heavenly jades are immensely powerful gem-like objects tied to different aspects of the universe, created by God to be part of heaven. After Adam's banishment to Earth, the jades came along with him and scattered across the universe to start life and used as a symbol to remember God. In 2038 (Earth time) Hurites finally obtained all of the four jades (one was stolen by the Devil) and planted them inside Mugen's body using a special device. By default, Mugen is capable of controlling electromagnetism and technology, however, the stone has amplified his body and ability to match that of Celestials.

Being a divine material that holds a tremendous amount of energy, only Celestials and carefully-experimented, gifted metahuman hybrid beings such as Mugen can wield it. Lesser beings would face dire consequences, as the stone requires a tremendous amount of life force, strength and Qi, including a stable , balanced emotional spectrum at the same time. From this stone, he obtained limited control over reality, space, time and all kinds of energy in the universe, from which, he made two ultimate abilities:

Infinite Room

Infinite Room (Japanese: 無限空間 Mugen Kūkan) is an ultimate ability that allows Mugen to concentrate his internal energy to the maximum, then lets off a powerful lightning which rips the fabric of space and time. He then proceeds to launch his opponent into this thing, the intent being that opponents caught into this will wander endlessly inside a limbo between time and space with no opportunity to return.

Heaven's gate

Heaven's Gate (Japanese: 天国の門 Tengoku no Mon) is Mugen's another ultimate ability that allows him to connect reality with a sub-space where he stored a seemingly-infinite amount of cosmic energy. By opening an "invisible door" between them, this ability allows him to shape the energy into explosive projectiles, as many as 300 projectiles.

Expert Tactician

Mugen, while a somewhat brash tactician, every so often made many split-second tactical decisions that either saved people's lives or overpowered his adversaries.

Calm State

Mugen can enter into or is always calm, serene and relaxed regardless of the situation(s) or what happens to himself or around him. His body, mind, heart and soul are always perfectly clear and relaxed, and his mental fortitude and endurance is unbreakable/unyielding no matter what is happening. This render him capable of using the Heavenly Stone.

Expert Combatant

Mugen was trained in both Taekwondo and Pencak Silat, making him have an extensive understanding of combat and an innate encyclopedic knowledge in hand-to-hand and melee fighting styles. Therefore capable of understanding and analyzing opponents' style of combat and flaws in the opponent's attack and defense.

Multilingualism

Mugen is fluent in English, Indonesian, as well as Korean and Japanese.

Peak Human Intellect

Mugen is more intelligent than most of his species, or at least able to use his brain more efficiently and effectively either by being naturally gifted and trained himself for the needed shortcuts, possessing a high IQ of around 144.

Mugen's sense of smell is pushed to the highest limits of human perfection. Mugen is naturally born with the capability that can rival the wolves being capable of using their sense of smell to attain blindsight as well as illusions awareness, and good tracking abilities, as well as lie detection through chemical that are released, and pregnancy perception because of pheromones and shapeshifting awareness through particular type of smell of a person and also empathy because of pheromones.

Sensory Overload

Being naturally born with the capability of enhanced smelling, this heightened ability often gives Mugen an olfactory overload where he'd easily struggle with breathing. As a result, Mugen often wears a mask to prevent this, especially when fighting.
