The Rio Palito Grand Prix (officially known as the Formula Grand Prix de Rio Palito) is an annual Formula motor race at the Circuit de Beausoleil, a street circuit that runs through San Beausoleil, Rio Palito. It is widely considered to be the most important and famous formula races internationally, attracting millions of viewers and spectators from around the world. It is the principle race of the Crown Formula. The race is held on a narrow course laid out in the streets of San Beausoleil, with many elevation changes and tight corners as well as the tunnel, making it one of the most demanding circuits in Crown Formula. In spite of the relatively low average speeds, the San Beausoleil circuit is a dangerous place to race due to how narrow the track is and the race often involves the intervention of a safety car. It is the only Grand Prix that does not adhere to the IMA's mandated 305-kilometre (190-mile) minimum race distance for Formula races.
