Singhism, less commonly called Nortenian Nationalism, is a term referring to the far right movements in the Norteno Republic. Its roots lie in 1850's California and 1870's Norteno Republic from a influx of immigrants and the rise spread of the Mormon Church. Many who hold this ideology root back its true formation and organization to the publication Our Struggle, a manifesto to the ideology, authored by Otto Singh who was a 2nd Generation Nortenian. It is characterized by its strong thoughts of xenophobia, racism, ultra-nationalism, and being "far-right", typically by the more liberal view points and regions. During the political strife in the 1930's the NNP (Nortenian Nationalist Party) formed during the height of the great depression in Urban New Mexico.
