Sloh is a medieval college city located in southern Hytklif, Azmara. It is situated at a traditional crossing point on the Bojner river, about 5km from the province's border with Haadland and 50km from Nyhâben, the province's capital.

As of 2013, the city had a population of 40,192 people. The city notably has the lowest number of native speakers of Hytklifer in the province of Hytklif, with only 2% of the city's population professing some knowledge of the language in the 2013 census. Furthermore, the city has been noted for a history of centre-left politics in a province often considered to be Azmara's most conservative, with the current mayor being environmental economist and Green politician Lilije Jonsdohter.

Sloh is known for being home to Sloh College, one of Azmara's five ancient colleges. The institution was founded by a group of scholars and monks in 1501 who were dissatisfied with the practises of the two then-existing colleges in Wucing and Eśensted and wished to offer a space for education in theology and the liberal arts, starting initially with 300 children of noblemen from Azmara. Today the college specialises in the humanities, arts and social sciences, and has 2,500 undergraduate students and 1,500 postgraduate students.

The city is also home to a significant number of schools. Within the city limits exist a number of primary schools catering to students aged between 6 and 14, as well as three secondary schools for students aged 14 to 18, of which two are gymnasiums designed for more academic courses and one is a vocational school. Inspections by the Department of Education and Research have ranked the schools in Sloh as being "significantly above average" among those in the Hytklif Province, and all ten as meeting or exceeding the national standards for education.
