The tasarin is a flower and a species of flower found in Astyria. Originally native to the Tanz valley of Aquitayne, the species was transplanted during the Ethlorek migrations to Trellin and particularly Arimathea, where it is found on the nation's flag and has become the national flower. The tasarin thrives in temperate environments, particularly in moist soil that has been disturbed by human activity. In Trellin and Arimathea, it is found at altitudes greater than 200 metres (660 ft) above sea level, or on sea cliffs, and grows on the fringes of fields and forests and along roadsides. It is much more common here than in its native Aquitayne, although historical records from the first millennium BC record it growing in abundance in the areas abandoned by the Ethlorekoz.
