The Empire of Nation of the Best is a large, safe nation, renowned for its compulsory vegetarianism, compulsory military service, and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate, democratic population of 62 million The Bestians are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 36.4%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but inefficient Nation of the Bestian economy, worth 2.08 trillion Dollars a year, is led by the Cheese Exports industry, with major contributions from Retail, Information Technology, and Book Publishing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 33,607 Dollars, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.4 times as much as the poorest.

Public footpaths are being slowly eroded by the burgeoning number of ramblers, the government is seen to favor traditionalist religions, college students make ends meet by selling their kidneys, and vegetarianism is compulsory. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Nation of the Best's national animal is the Tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Nation of the Best is ranked 138,463rd in the world and 5,015th in the South Pacific for Highest Drug Use, scoring 53.4 on the Pineapple Fondness Rating.

  1. These are the titles as given in the Constitution of the Republic of Cameroon, Article X. The French version of the song is sometimes called Chant de Ralliement, as in National Anthems of the World; and the English version "O Cameroon, Cradle of Our Forefathers", as in DeLancey and DeLancey 61.
