The Thrismari Union, or the TU, is an ambitious national union that hopes one day to unite all of Thrismari under an allegiance of peace and prosperity for the continent. The union consists of Lyonheimer, Amrelia, Foxomexra, Fallooplesburg,South Eisennau, Sarussia, Toubaze, Tytherial, Qui Latine, the Kingdom of Blechingia, Veritian Empire, Gratiskov and Abjekistan.The union are focused on human rights, international stability and free travel through the nations of Thrismari. Founded in 2021, the TU is available to join to any nations in Thrismari.

The total population of all Member States is over 383 million, the combined Gross Domestic Product is approximately 11 trillion ACU, and the land area the Thrismari Union comprises is 5.8 million square kilometers.

History

The Thrismari Union, or the TU, started on the 12th February 2021 when Lyonheimer and Blechingia came up with the idea of the union. They announced the union that day, and people from respective nations were excited and filled with patriotism. The nations came up with main ideals, being free-travel, good trade deals and prosperity for Thrismari. The next member to join the union was Amrelia on the 14th February 2021, who joined when the invitation telegram reached them. The next day, the 15th, three nations joined the union, being Foxomexra, Fallooplesburg and Nicersdah, however they are only an affiliated state as they are not a Thrismari nation. At this point, the first ever Thrismari Union Summit was scheduled for the 20th of February, which would be a meeting that would finalize the terms and conditions of the union. On the 19th, South Eisennau, Toubaze and, as an affiliated state for now, Gassasinia. Next, on the 20th, day of the summit, Sarussia, Qui Latine and Tytherial all joined the union. On the 21st of February Abjekistan joined the union. The Veritian Empire requested to join on the 14th of March 2021, and Member States voted 9-0 in favour of them joining the union, and so it was finalised on the 16th of March 2021. The same case was with Gratiskov, who joined on the 22nd with 100% favour also.

The first Thrismari union was attended by all members, however spoken mostly by Foxomexra, Lyonheimer, Blechingia and Fallooplesburg. Here is the summary of the terms of the union:

"The purpose of the Thrismari Union is to promote economic cooperation among its Member States, to facilitate easy movement and trade therein, and to promote mutual prosperity.

Member States agree to impose a maximum tax of 2% of a product's value when dealing in trade with other Member States, although maintaining a lower value than this is encouraged. Member States agree to allow citizens of the union to travel within such requiring only a passport for proof of identity upon reaching the border.

Affiliated States negotiate independent deals with the union according to their desired level of engagement with the union.

The union has two opt-in programs; a defencive alliance, and a cooperative mission to ease travel along the Kaldaz Ocean during the winter season. The voting process is headed by the Chairperson, a title held for a year by an individual appointed by whatever country's government has been selected by the union through a process of randomization every year. Any single country is only permitted to appoint this title once every five years. Resolutions in the union are put to a vote whenever at least two Member States agree to support it. All votes are passed when at least 60% of the votes cast are in favour, except in the cases of alterations to the union and suspensions of membership, which both require 80% of the votes cast. In order for a country to leave the union they must submit a formal written notice to the union. The obligations a Member State that leaves or is expelled from the union has towards the protection of citizens of other union Member States within its borders continues to exist for a total of 30 days after the Member State is no longer part of the union. The limitations on tariffs and other trade barriers that exist within the union continue to hold effect for a total of 30 days after the Member State is no longer part of the union."

Thrismari Union summits are supposed to happen once every two-three months or so, depending on how long the leaders believe it needs until the next.

Noruzabad Declaration (TU Defence Pact)

During the first summit, the idea of an opt-in defensive alliance was brought up and in early April. Held in Noruzabad, Abjekistan, the delcaration was written up as follows:

'Upon the foundation of the Thrismari Union and during the first Thrismari Union summit, the idea of a defensive pact that members can opt-into and is not mandatory upon entry into the union.

Nations that opt-in are inclined and expected to help others in the Union when they face diplomatic issues or war. However, if they do not support the cause, they are allowed to opt-out on occasion.

This does not affect any other terms of the Union, and those who join only have the benefit of added security.

It is currently signed by Lyonheimer, Qui Latine, Blechingia and Fallooplesburg

Number Plates

In order to set the free-travel initiative into motion, the idea of TU member number plates was thought up. This was fully introduced on the 18th of April 2021, and all number plates in TU member states past that date were produced as so.
