The order of precedence of the Commonwealth of Auratian Catholic States is the official protocol list that ranks government officials of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of both the federal government and the eight States in order of their importance. The order was established by the Precedence of the Offices Act 1912 and was later amended in 1989. The list is maintained by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In practice, the order of precedence is a mostly ceremonial and symbolic protocol, but it is understood to regulate certain matters, such as the placement of official portraits respective of other government officials.
