List of Equipment of the Tagmatine Armed Forces

Jump to navigation Jump to search

This is a list of the current equipment of the Armed Forces of Tagmatium. It includes everything from small arms to crew-served weapons to armoured vehicles, as well as aircraft and ships. This pages provides a brief overview of the weapons, images and information such as when they entered service, weapon calibres and additional notes.

To meet its commitments, the equipment of the Tagmatine Armed Forces are periodically updated and modified. Programmes exist to make sure that the Tagmatine military is suitably equipped for both current conflicts and expected future conflicts, with any shortcomings in equipment addressed as Urgent Operational Requirements (UOR), which supplements planned equipment programmes.

For designations, vehicles receive a designation based on the vehicle class and a name based on historical, religious or mythological figures. For example, the General Tank Mark IV Thestor is the fourth tank of the designation of "General Tank" and the name "Thestor" is a figure from Laimiaic mythology. It is usually referred to as the "Thestor" by Tagmatines outside of formal settings. On this page, the designation will be given in Anglish. A ship would receive a class name, usually that of the lead ship, or the class is named for a theme. As an example, the Protathlites tou Khristou class aircraft carriers are all named for saints that are considered to be "Champions of Christ".

Small arms and crew-served weapons are named for their type, with the last two digits being the last two numbers in the year that they were issued. As an example, the TE11 assault rifle's first two letters are from the acronym for "assault rifle" in Laimiaic ("Toufeki Efodou") and the two digits for EK7511, which is the year AD2003 in the Aroman Calendar.

For a list of former equipment, see here.

AT67 FN-FAL belgian noBG.png  Tagmatium Battle Rifle 7.7×56mm Aroman 1959 Despite the success of the TE55, the more conservative elements in the Tagmatine High Command were convinced that a more conventional rifle in a fully-powered cartridge was still necessary. After years of lobbying, a new rifle was designed and introduced. It is usually issued only in certain circumstances and all infantry units maintain a pool at company level. It provides the basis for several more specialised weapons.
AT14 Combater G27 noBG.png  Adaptus Designated Marksman Rifle 7.7×56mm Aroman 2006 The AT14 is the designated marksman rifle used by the Tagmatine military across all of its branches. The AT67 previously held this role, alongside several others, but it was decided to purchase a more modern rifle from Tagmatium's neighbour and ally, in the form of the AR-38m, although built for 7.7x56mm, rather than Adapton 7.62x51mm round.
