The Term of Service Ribbon is a military honor issued by the Aisling Defense Force to any member of the armed forces who completes a single term of service within any branch of the military. Upon the completion of a single term of service, the recipient will generally also receive a Branch of Service ribbon. The Branch of Service device is awarded for every completed term of service, whereas the Term of Service Ribbon is only awarded once.
If a member of the Aisling Defense Force fails to complete their initially mandated term of service, they will not receive the Term of Service Ribbon. If a recipient of the Term of Service Ribbon is later dishonorably discharged from the Aisling Defense Force, they forfeit the right to wear the device as well as the rights awarded to them for military service. If a discharged veteran is found guilty of a capital crime, they will also forfeit their right to wear the device, as well as the rights awarded to them for military service. The Term of Service Ribbon is the only military decoration authorized for wear by members of the military who have earned the device and discharged veterans while out of uniform. It is unlawful for a subject of Temuair to wear any military decoration, including the Term of Service Ribbon. It is not unlawful for a subject of the nation to possession military decorations however.
