Arguello S.A. is a Madorian multinational aerospace, defense and technology corporation. Formed by a merger of the Arguello Company with Avitia Berlango, it designs, manufactures, and sells commercial, executive and military aircraft, telecommunications equipment, and missiles, as well as provides leasing and aviation support services. Arguello is Cunova's largest manufacturer of airliners and among Cunova's top 100 defense contractors.
Arguello was founded in 1968 by the Madorian government. It initially focused primarily on supplying military aircraft to the Madorian Air Force, but by the 1980s began producing a series of successful commercial aircraft. The company was privatized in 1994 and began expanding to the production of larger airliners and smaller business jets; it became public in 2002.
Arguello operates in three business sectors: Commercial Aviation, which manages the development, production, sale, and lease of commercial jets, as well as the provision of aviation support services; Defense, Space and Security, which consists of research, development, production, modification, and support for military aircraft, and related products and services; and Advanced Technologies, which concerns the development, production, and sale of military technology and armament.
