Elected Majority Party

Free Peoples Party

The 1891 Slavic Duma Election was an election held on December 1, 1891 to elect the 450 members of the Slavic Duma. The social democratic Free Peoples Party won a plurality and managed to form a loose coalition of them, the Federalist Party, the Center Party, and the Ledyanaya Party. This coalition severely neutered the ambitions of the FPP as they were forced to make concessions to the other coalition members, including replacing party leader Radoslav Batishchev, who was considered too radical, with Adrian Buryakov.

These actions severely weakened the party, with the assassination of Buryakov in 1894 ruining the parties chances of winning another election.
