Law enforcement in Amathia
Law enforcement in Amathia is regulated by the Constitution and by various laws, and is administered by the Central Ministry of Internal Affairs. It is organised in a rather complicated system that is divided between a few federal agencies directed from the capital of Arciluco, agencies that operate within a constituent republic and are under the administration of the Regional Office of Internal Affairs of each constituent republic, and local agencies that are under the control of their respective local administration. In the field, these agencies are mandated to cooperate and follow a hierarchical system, but they are also given a certain autonomy.
Central Agencies
The Central Agencies (Amathian: Ⰰⰳⰵⱀⱌⰹⰹⰾⰵ Ⰽⰵⱀⱅⱃⰰⰾⰵ, tr. Agențiile Centrale), are the federal law enforcement agencies of Amathia. They operate throughout the entire country and have sole jurisdiction in the central capital of Arciluco. They operate under the administration of the Central Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Central Police
The Central Police (Amathian: Ⱂⱁⰾⰹⱌⰹⰰ Ⰽⰵⱀⱅⱃⰰⰾⱐ, tr. Poliția Centrală), is the uniformed federal police of Amathia.
Central Gendarmerie
The Central Gendarmerie (Amathian: Ⰻⰰⱀⰴⰰⱃⰿⰵⱃⰹⰰ Ⰽⰵⱀⱅⱃⰰⰾⱐ, tr. Jandarmeria Centrală) is a military police force under the authority of the civilian Ministry of Internal Affairs, being used for maintaining public order and for difficult and specialized law enforcement situations.
