Lumakia, officially the State of Lumakia (Lumak: Tak Lamak [tak̚ ləˈmak̚]), is a country in eastern Thrismari, bordering Inchyroa to the east and the Gulf of Kouma to the south. Lumakia covers an area of 178,186 km2, with an approximate population of 40.4 million. The country mainly has a humid subtropical climate; its capital and largest city is Go Ma, with other major cities being Go Raoi and Su Lang.

Etymology

The common name Lumakia derives from the term Lamak, which is the autonym from the Lumak language to refer to the majority ethnic group in Lumakia.

History

Lumakia, along with the other nations in the Kouma Gulf region, has been inhabited since prehistory. In the year 778, Prince Neaup Taen of Go Ma united the Lumak tribes along the Wa River and formed the progenitor Lumak state.
