The Phanes Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy, located within the WIP, and the only galaxy known to harbor life. The galaxy has a diameter of between WIP light-years. It is estimated that the Phanes Galaxy has over 200 billion stars and as many as 400 billion planets, with a multitude of these planets being capable of hosting life. The galactic center is a supermassive black hole with a scale of roughly 4.1 to 4.5 million solar masses. It has four main arms spiraling outwards from its central bulge, as well as several smaller arms referred to as spurs. The galaxy possesses the origin of human life, Sunalaya, as well as multiple interstellar empires.

Etymology

The name of the Phanes Galaxy comes from the (nation) god Phanes, who was the god of procreation and new life.
