Segregation in the Blackhelm Confederate Military

Segregation in the Blackhelm Confederacy has a long running history, going almost as far back as the very foundation of the Empire of Exponent nearly two thousand years ago. Today, almost all units in the Blackhelm Confederacy remain segregated with a few exceptions, most notably in the ACC and the Town Guard units. Hesperidesian Natives today are most commonly found in second line positions, mostly truck drivers, food service people, or stevedores. Many native troops can also be found in artillery battalions. Their units are also almost entirely white officered, although a few native officers can be found amongst the ranks. Additionally, there are some rifle platoons made up of native troops, and can be found in most Confederate expeditionary forces that the Blackhelm Confederacy deploys. These native rifle platoons, however, are always heavily outnumbered by their white and Conurbii counterparts.

The Confederate navy also has a large number of native Hesperidesans amongst its ranks, and these men find themselvs in similar roles as those in the army. In the navy, the vast majority of native crewmen find themselves as stewards mates, while others work in engine rooms or in similar jobs.
