'''Elections in [[West Miersa]]''' are held on the national, [[Administrative divisions of West Miersa#Voivodeships|voivodeal]], and [[Administrative divisions of West Miersa#Municipalities|municipal]] levels. For the purposes of this list, it only covers elections to the West Miersan [[National Assembly (West Miersa)|National Assembly]].

==Criteria==
To be eligible to vote in [[West Miersa|West Miersan]] elections, one must be a:

*Citizen of the [[West Miersa|Miersan Federation]], who:
**Is over the age of twenty-one (21) years
**Has never been convicted of a {{wp|delict}}

In order to run for a West Miersan office, the prospective candidate has to be a West Miersan citizen over the age of 21, has never been convicted of a crime, and can afford to pay a deposit of 2,500 [[West Miersan grosz|groszy]]. Should the candidate win, the deposit is returned: otherwise, they do not receive their deposit back.

==Elections==
Under the [[Constitution of West Miersa]], elections for the [[President of West Miersa|Presidency]] and the [[National Assembly (West Miersa)|National Assembly]] take place every five years, with exceptions only granted in a {{wp|state of emergency|state of war}}, in which case if a war happens to continue into an election year, the election can be cancelled, with the term of all elected officials being extended until the next election.

Elections to 138 of the 230 seats of the National Assembly are done via {{wp|first-past-the-post}}, while the remainder of the seats are appointed by the President to serve for life, in order to ensure that what the West Miersan government considers the "[[East Miersa|eastern voivodeships]] under [[Kirenia|Kirenian]] occupation" are represented in the National Assembly.
