The Crowns (Heldic: De Kaschtbrechter, Heldic pronunciation: [dɛ kɑʃtbʀɛxtɛʀ]) is a 2049 historical drama based on the beginnings of the personal union of the United Kingdom of Horteny and Lorangia and Searenland starting in 1894. The film was principally directed by Ädölf Kült, and was produced by Continental Films and Ansium Filming. The film stars the voices of Jeanne Angechét, Jügo Meier, and Märielle Ülbrächt, among others.
The Crowns premiered in Ansium on 1 July 2049, and was released across Heldervin on 18 July. It became a commercial success, grossing ₩21.89 million worldwide compared to its ₩4 million budget. It was also a critical success, receiving acclamation for its sets, writing, and acting.
Plot
The Crowns portrays the first year immediately following the ascension of Marlene IV and I to the Searic throne, when the personal union of the crowns of Heldervin and Searenland began.
