The '''Goldman, Black, and Richman Group''', alternately referred to by its acronym '''GBRG''', is a [[Belhavia|Belhavian]] {{wp|Investment management|investment management}} firm founded by [[David Goldman]] and [[Norm Black]] in 1933 as the [[Galarian_Regime#The_1928_-_1933_Recession|Recession of 1928 - 1933]] was coming to a close. It is considered one of the largest and most powerful hedge funds in the [[Pardes|world]], and among the top three in Belhavia. The firm serves institutional clients including {{wp|Pension fund|pension funds}}, {{wp|Financial endowment|endowments}}, {{wp|Foundation (non-profit)|foundations}}, foreign {{wp|Government|governments}}, and {{wp|Central bank|central banks}}. It utilizes a {{wp|Global macro|global macro}} investment style based on economic trends, such as {{wp|Inflation|inflation}}, {{wp|Foreign exchange market|currency exchange}} rates, and [[EG3|leading gross domestic products' growth]]. 

The firm grew steadily in the 1930s and 1940s, though crashing in the [[Panic of 1945]] and nearly becoming {{wp|Bankruptcy|bankrupt}} from failed {{wp|Speculation|commodity price speculation}} in 1953. In 1962, it acquired Richman Financial Holding Company as it expanded into {{wp|Underwriting#Insurance_underwriting|insurance underwriting}} and {{wp|Leveraged buyout|commercial debt liabilities}}, adding the new acquisition's leader's last name, Richman (for [[Asher Richman]]), to the firm's letterhead. 

The firm is not only noteworthy for its massive presence in the hedge fund financial world, but also for its {{wp|Family dictatorship|family leadership succession}} and political connections. Throughout the firm's existence, until the present, the leading roles of CEO, President, Managing partner, CFO, and COO all lie in the hands of the descendants of the firm's founders or senior partners. Gedalia Richman is the grand-nephew of senior partner Asher Richman, Naftali Goldman is the grandson of founder David Goldman, and Zachariah Black is the youngest son of Norm Black. 

In addition, the firm is one of the most politically-connected in the Empire. Gedalia Richman's first cousin, [[Hank Richman]], is a sitting [[Imperial Senate (Belhavia)|Imperial Senator]] ([[Conservative Party (Belhavia)|C]]-[[South Dakos (province)|South Dakos]]) who won his seat in a special election in August 2013.  Naftali Goldman is the father of President [[Eli Goldman]], who himself worked in GBRG's {{wp|In-house counsel|in-house counsel's office}} before entering politics. {{wp|Centrism|Centrist}} [[Liberal Democratic Party (Belhavia)|Liberal Democrat]], businessman, and banker [[Joe Manton]], who served three terms in the [[Imperial Senate (Belhavia)|Imperial Senate]], worked in the mid-1990s at the hedge fund before leaving to build [[Manton-Grossman Global Strategies|his own firm]].

The firm is headquartered in [[Dakos]], [[Belhavia]], though it has branch offices in the financial districts in [[Chaleur]] ([[URE|Emmeria]]), [[Franklin]] ([[Former states of the Western Confederal States|former Western States]]), [[Voluntari]] ([[Rodarion]]), [[Centurion]] ([[Westonaria]]), [[Loweport]] ([[Arthurista]]), [[Lion's Rock]] ([[Arthurista]]), [[Constantinople, KCT]] ([[Eagleland]]), and [[Rucesion]] ([[Temuair]]).
