The heads of Emerstarian diplomatic missions are persons appointed as senior diplomats to individual countries, international organizations, or other groups. They may be ambassadors ([[Emerstarian language|Emerstarian]]: sendherre), envoys (sendbud), or residents (bebóare), except in the case of the [[Venson League]] where the Emerstarian representatives are known as delegates (sendråþare). Some nations may receive a consul or consul-general (konsullare, allkonsullare). 

The heads of diplomatic missions are typically appointed by the monarch, or recommended by the Foreign Ministry and then approved by the Lord Steward or the monarch.
