The '''Imperialist Consensus''' refers to a broad political, sociocultural, and religious consensus in [[Belhavia]] that emerged after the rise of the [[Belhavia|Belhavian empire]] in 1715 following the [[Great Southern War]] that {{wp|Manifest destiny|God destined Belhavia to build a great empire across the world}} because of [[Belhavian Jews]]' {{wp|Jews as the chosen people|special enlightenment among the world's nations}}. This societywide paradigm justified a government policy of {{wp|Empire-building|empire-building}}, {{wp|Expansionism|expansionism}}, {{wp|Imperialism|imperialism}}, and {{wp|Colonialism|colonialism}}. 

The belief ebbed and flowed across the decades as world events, internal [[Belhavia#Government_and_politics|Belhavian politics]], and ideologies rose and fell. The consensus held until the late 1910s, when the [[Cold War (Pardes)#Rise_of_Revolutionary_Leftist_Movements_in_the_20th_century|the global anti-colonialist movements from the left began to arise]], which led to a [[Grand Colonial Debates|protracted political battle over the issue]] in [[Belhavia]]. The issue was decisively decided during the [[Galarian Regime|Galarian years]] in favor of the old consensus due to the state policy of [[Galarianism]], but was discontinued after [[Provisional Government of Belhavia#|his fall]].

It no longer holds much sway in [[Pardes|modern Belhavia]], though it has a seen a modest revival among the [[Conservative Party (Belhavia)|Belhavian right]] in light of recent [[Ulthrannia|Ulthrannic]] expansion into [[Ashizwe]] and [[Akkadiya]].
