Five individuals have represented the Commonwealth of Zalpa since 1985 and the Constitution of the Third Republic came into effect. Two directors from Zalpa have served as [[President of the Directory (Vardana)|President of the Directory]], the most of any province. Its current director [[Lucine Argutian]] succeeded [[David Mardas]] on 20 July 2017, she was re-elected in 2021.
