Lord '''Matthew Saunders <small>KM</small>''', 7th Viscount Rachdale, was a Vionna-Frankenlischian nobleman and soldier. Exiled with his family during the [[Red Decade]], much of Matthew's youth was spent in [[Imperial Gallandia|Gallandia]] where his father died in the [[Gallandian Civil War]] and he inherited the [[Viscount Rachdale|Rachdale Viscouncy]] at age 12. Begining his military career at 19 during the [[Vionna-Frankenlischian War of Restoration|War of Restoration]], Saunders was a long-serving and distinguished officer in the Imperial Army, serving in five different conflicts. He was still in the service as a Major General when he died in 2019, to be succeeded by his son, [[Edward, 8th Viscount Rachdale|Edward]].
