The Joint Ocean Security Initiative (Anglian: JOSI | Fyrish: Goynt Ofersæs Sundornering Indædung, GOSI) is a multilateral intelligence-sharing framework between Anglia and Fyrland with Batavian and Khalistani cooperation. Formed in the aftermath of the One-Month War, JOSI is a response to aggressive state actors willing to resort to aggression against peer states to achieve geopolitical goals, such as the Crimson Scare incident. JOSI is intended to facilitate the joint real-time tracking of high-value military assets of states deemed a risk to ocean security, such as guided-missile submarines and aircraft carriers, utilising land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace sensors.

Rather than a singular headquarters, each primary JOSI member hosts a large analytical centre, which serves as a hub for that respective member's intelligence gathering. After that, each hub pools information in cyberspace for collective use by all parties. Anglia's hub is located in Lyncaster and serves as the collection point for Anglian, Khalistani, and Batavian multi-domain sensor information. Fyrland's hub is in Brecanburg and only services Fyrish multi-domain sensor information.

JOSI was formed in 2021 with two primary members and two partners. Dayashina has also expressed interest in joining the initiative as a primary member, and Del Mar, Santa Cruz, and Free Leoterra have expressed interest as partners.

Framework

While sharing a similar culture, legal system, and language, no prior intelligence-sharing system existed between Anglia and Fyrland before JOSI. Having recently departed the Entente Cordiale (EC), Anglian, Batavian, and Khalistani intelligence gathering and dissemination infrastructure still heavily resembled EC structures. These existing EC structures differed significantly from the Fyrish-aligned Aby-Vinyan Alliance (AVA) and its framework. Therefore, any joint initiative to rapidly gather and pool intelligence information requires a flexible approach.

JOSI employs existing structures within respective members' traditional communities and collates information within the primary member of that community for use by all members. This framework allows the gathering of niche intelligence without compromising the integrity of their respective members' existing structures whilst allowing for the rapid implementation of the initiative.
