Kiesimä is a city located in southwest Valkea and the seat of the province of Vikkland. It has a population of 307,185 within the municipality and 336,670 in the urban area, making it the ninth largest city in Valkea and the second largest city in Vikkland after Dagsmark.

The city has been a major religious center for centuries. The area was the location of a pagan temple, which was replaced by a church with the arrival of Christianity. Since then, it served as the seat of the Archbishop of Kiesimä, who currently is the Primate of the Church of Valkea. Kiesimä was rebuilt and fortified after it was sacked during Eidnár's War. It served as a secondary capital for the Valkean monarchs, who used resided in Kiesimä Castle for part of the year. Today, the castle serves as the residence of the Governor of Vikkland.

Aside from being a religious center, Kiesimä is known for being a major center for education and science. The University of Kiesimä is among the oldest and most prestigious universities in Valkea. Notable scholars who resided in the city included mathematician Mikael Salminen, astronomer Henrikki Salo, and chemist Alvar Eerola. Kiesimä is also a major tourism destination thanks to its rich historical and cultural heritage. Kiesimä's central landmark is the Kiesimä Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Valkea and the traditional site for the coronation of the Valkean monarch until the 20th century.
