Tartos is the westernmost state of TaracticiaII, located in Cromule bordering Eastern Taracticia.

It covers several maritime departments, notably Tartos Bay, with an altogether population of 75,000 Taracticians. It was created in 538, by the Cormik Kings during their colonization of Taracticia (also named The First Taractician Empire to avoid confusion with TaracticiaII), under the name of Maritime Cormik. When Taracticia was retaken by the Taracticiathefirstian Princes, it was renamed Tartos Bay after the army lead by Furon Tartos that liberated the area.

The state was the subject of controversy between the First Taractician Republic and TaracticiaII before the creation of Eastern Taracticia, as it was completely disconnected from the Taractician Peninsula and was argued to not be a veritable state. Historians have since theorized that Taracticia also envied the efficient trading business held at Tartos Bay's ports, which attracts to this day many foreign traders. The department Tartos Bay is also significant for hosting the birthplace of TaracticiaII in its first form as the Tartocian Autonomia during its rebellion from the First Taractician Republic. It was held by the rebel nation until Taracticia2 was forced out of the Cromulian continent and escaped to the Horowhenuan Continent. Shortly after it was retaken by the First Taractician Republic, returning to TaracticiaII in 1631 during the Taractician Peace Treaty.
