The Chief of the General Staff (Rojadavi: Serleşker ya Fermandariya Giştî) is the highest-ranking military officer in the Rojadavistan Armed Forces, who is responsible for maintaining operational command of the military and its branches. The chief is appointed by the President of Rojadavistan, who is commander-in-chief of the armed forces. The chief reports to the Minister of National Defense.
Functions
The chief maintains the following functions in his/her position:
- To maintain the combat readiness of the armed forces
- To carry out military decisions made by the President
- To gather and analyze external military threats toward Rojadavistan
- To advise the National Security Council on military affairs
- To develop the strength and capability of the military
- To engage in military cooperation
