The WMCA - Fatimanian War was a war between nations of the WMCA Alliance and their allies and the Fatimania Federation, spanning thirteen hours over two days. tensions between the alliance and the Fatimania Federation have been high for many months but things soon broke down after VSS Tyrona of the Fatimania-Class Nuclear-powered Submarine launched a P5 SLBM Missile aimed at Malta Comino Gozo's navy base in the Grand Harbour. The resulting attack missed its initial target and hit a busy residential area outside of Downtown Valletta, the capital of Malta Comino Gozo. The attack brought about international condemnation from the WMCA countries, with pressure to declare "An attack on one is an attack on all" .The Alezian Union and Waisnor were reluctant for any sort of conflict and more sanctions were issued on the Fatimania Federation by the alliance as well as by the international community. President Alice Desnilla of the Fatimania Federation then declared war on the WMCA Alliance only hours later on Sunday 15th September 2024.

On Sunday, 15th September 2024, at approximately 11:03 AM local time (10:03 BST), two powerful explosions rocked the outskirts of Valletta, the capital of Malta Comino Gozo. A seven-story apartment block near the epicentre sustained significant damage, while five shops and two houses were completely destroyed. The blasts caused widespread panic, and thick plumes of smoke were visible across the city and much of the island. Five civilians were tragically killed, including three Malta Comino Gozoans, two Alezians, and one Darkmanian.

Chief of Police Angelo Gafà, along with emergency services and forensic teams, discovered missile fragments among the debris. Shortly after, the Fatimanian Navy confirmed it had launched a P5 SLBM missile from the VSS Tyrona, a Fatimania-class nuclear-powered submarine, positioned 500 kilometres off Malta Comino Gozo in the Mediterranean Sea. The missile had been intended to target a military base in Malta Comino Gozo, but it went off course, striking the residential area instead. The submarine evaded detection and returned to its base in Fatimania.

The attack followed a series of escalating tensions between Fatimania and the WMCA (Waisnorian-Malta Comino Gozoan-Carrelian-Alezian) Alliance. The day before the attack, Fatimanian President Alice Desnilla threatened to bring the WMCA-imposed sanctions to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing the alliance of threatening the use of force and aligning with pro-Putin policies. Her remarks sparked international outrage, with nations such as Saint Monkey condemning her rhetoric. In response, Desnilla further escalated the situation by threatening Saint Monkey with war.

The Uskadian government acted swiftly, deploying part of its navy to Malta Comino Gozo amidst rising tensions. Prime Minister Robert Abela welcomed the arrival of the Uskadian aircraft carrier, UdS Admiral Retena, along with 1,000 Uskadian marines to reinforce the island's defences. Abela also condemned President Desnilla’s invasion threats and stated that any further aggression towards Malta Comino Gozo or its allies, including Saint Monkey, would result in additional WMCA sanctions against Fatimania.
