Carla Velasco is a Bentheses politican serving as the Mayor of Caapulas. Born in Caapulas and lived there her whole life. She got a scholarship from the Universty of San Pera in 2013. Working as and Environmental Policy Analyst for Bentho’s Ministry of the Environment for the State of Aregoyape then running in 2015 for the National Assembly. She was called the most critical of former president Andres Mendoza. During her time in the assembly she denounced many of his poliices and bill for negelecting Bentho's oath to protect nature when it was united in 1604. When Mendoza term was over she ran in 2021 for Caapulas Mayor. She was doing comunity work for the city, planting trees and helping pick up litter in parks. She got the term from locals 'The Green Lady'. She struck a deal with Libertadismo to not run a canidate and relunctly they agreed only if she put Cristian Cano who was the supposed Libertadismo canidate into her adminstartion. She won easily by 61.4% being the first Green Party Mayor of a city above the 100,000 population mark.
