XXX is a radical Contrarian political philosophy and ideology closely associated with Futurism with its roots in early Integralist and Solidarist thinking, and is largely based on the early writings of polymath and social philosopher XXX. Rooted heavily in idea of progress and in awe by the rapid and accelerating rate of technological advancement that gripped the world during the 19th and 20th centuries, XXX advocated for amplifying the extensive changes occurring in society on the grounds that they are required for the prosperity of Humanity and wellbeing of the sapient condition. XXX believed that the constant "march towards progress" will eventually lead to rapture in social and physical fabric, leading to the ascension of the human condition to higher existence and ultimately transcension, however he believed the dialectical processes underlying social and technological change were being hampered by the existence of conservative social institutions. As such, XXXist advocated for the radical reorganisation of society towards a programmatic goal which XXX called the "Common Task for all Mankind"; mass enlightenment of all peoples, the destruction of national boundaries, the elimination of suffering, the mastery of nature, collective prosperity, common abundance, the flourishing of life and the abolition of death.

History

Principles

Modernity

  • Modernity is cool yo

Social Dialectics

  • Not really based on Historical Materialism
  • Closer to Althusser's Aleatory Materialism whereas human social processes are holistically recognised as a complex adaptive system influenced by external (ecology, energy, resource constraints, diseases, natural disasters) and internal (path dependency, class conflict, economics, culture, religion, gender) factors which dictate the course of history
    • Antagonism between these factors and within them results in a new, synthesized variation of society which resolves a contradiction (poor harvests --> migrating elsewhere, drought --> development of irrigation systems, Calesian buillion crisis --> colonial expansion, poor working conditions --> labour militancy and concessions, etc), but this process is not perfect as reactionary elements of the old society still makes it out.
  • Tectology and Roy Bhaskar's Critical Realism here somewhere

Social Metabolism and Inflexion Point

  • It's the same as it is in Eco-Marxism
  • Great filters and the need to avoid them

XXX Dichotomy

  • technological adoption and use shaped by institutions
  • The technical class
  • technostructure
  • Largely Veblenite critique of capitalism (Wastefulness of for-profit production, anarchy of the market, metabolic rift, cyclical crises, differential accumulation, etc)

Rationalization of Society

  • See the french interwar neosocialism movement or Veblen
  • Path dependency and reactionary elements makes synthesis imperfect
  • Society must be "rationalised", i.e. radically restructured to optimise social prosperity and material progress based on a scientific mode of governance.

The Common Task

  • Russian Cosmism

Social enlightenment

Economics

Economic models
