Eskavia (Eskavian: Eskävut), officially the Eskavian Confederacy (Eskavian: Kopläjukvo Eskävut), is a sovereign state in Elia Boreal. It lies between the Free States to the X and the Alconian Ocean to the west.
Humans have inhabited Eskavia for at least 12,000 years. The region is widely recognized by archeologists as one of the world's cradles of civilization, with a history of complex societies dating back to the 16th century BC. By the time Calesian explorers arrived in 15XX, most of modern-day Eskavia consisted of city-states centered around large and complex earthworks and connected by an advanced road network. The Eskavian Confederacy, an alliance of five cities led by the hegemonic Kingdom of Väsjomok, was the most powerful political entity in the region and exerted influence across Elia Boreal.
