The Tikvan Democratic Party (Yebru: מפלגה דמוקרטית) is a Katzist, secular, progressive party, formed by Prime Minister Liora Shapiro in the run-up to the October 2019 snap election to unify the left in defeating the rise of another right-wing government in Tikva. It is widely considered "the Unified Left" or "New Left" as it was established through the merger of a half-dozen left-leaning parties from Yesh Tikvah and Meretz to Shinui and Avoda. Platform
- The creation and passage of a written constitution and bill of rights.
- Peace between Tikva and Palladine, based on a two-state solution, over the Samarran Valley, to ensure the existence of Tikva as a democratic and Juddish state. This will finalize the borders of Tikva.
- Rehabilitate and expand Tikva's social services including education, healthcare, and reducing the cost of living.
- Supporting a Pluralistic society of mutual respect regardless of lifestyle, religion, race, gender, or sexual orientation.
- Allow and recognize civil marriages and divorces, including those of same-sex couples.
- Significantly curtail the powers of the Chief Zokuk Authority and institute the separation of religion and state.
- Allow for the operation of public transport on Sabbat.
- Rein in the influence of the far-right religious minority over policy.
- Make Tikva 100% carbon-neutral by 2035
- Protection of the rights of animals and helpless.
- Construct 500,000 units of affordable, smart, and sustainable housing in Tikva's urban areas.
- Increase the amount of open green space across Tikva's urban areas, and protect state-controlled parks and wildness areas.
- Increase government transparency of public spending and clamp down on corruption.
- Bolster women's rights, including that of abortion.
- Protect the rights of minorities and fight against discrimination, and support for affirmative action.
- Protect worker's rights, increase the minimum wage, and bolster the right to unionize.
- Instituting an inheritance tax of 20% to 25% on assets of more than Sk 5,000,000.
- Protect and expand the national pension program.
- All citizens, including orthodox adherents of Juddism, will serve in the Defense Forces of Tikva.
- Control over Tikva's strategic resources and reserves to be exploited solely to fund efforts to expand and enhance the nation's social services.
- Cultivating culture and sports in an egalitarian and representative manner, giving priority to the allocation of resources and investment in populations with disabilities, elderly and the youth.
- Continue to develop foreign relations with strategic nation-states including Kipan, Iverica, the Sunset Sea Islands, and Gallambria.
