Overview

Orlav (Arlaŭsh: Орлавмаа, Arlaŭmaa), officially the Republic of Orlavmaa, is a country situated in Eastern Aldinea. Orlavmaa is divided into 18 administrative subdivisions called Dziaržaŭ. The nation has a population of over 58 million, making it the 8th (known) largest country in Midgard by population, with the capital of Poznagrad of 2.9 million inhabitants. The largest city and historic capital is Minstgrad with a population of 3.2 million. Other major cities include: Bolafosov, Beograd, and Vilihorsk.

Orlavmaa has a highly developing economy and is considered an Upper Middle Income Country, and is a minor power in Eastern Aldinea with a GDP of $816,236,120,000. With a modestly high HDI of 0.871 and a low GINI of 28.90, Orlavmaa is a favourable location for migrants for work in secondary jobs such as manufacturing, the motor industry, and refinement of raw metals from Kulavia.

Orlav is a landlocked nation bordered by Suavia and Flarmen in the west, Ruvia in the south, Kulavia in the east, and Yuvomaa to the north. Orlav has open borders with Kulavia and Yuvomaa under the Panrekan Brotherhood, which allows for free trade and movement between nations.

Within recent years, Orlavmaa has been undergoing a shift towards the alt-right and irredentism, particularly related to Vydatna Orlavmaa. A political philosophy of the unification of Orlavmaa and the province of East Orlav of Kulavia and the northern border of Ruvia.
