The Valentirian Federation of Labour (VFL) (Gaullican: Fédération Valentirienne du travail) (FVT) is a centre-left political party and the largest of the three major contemporary political parties in Valentir. The party has dominated federal politics for much of Valentir's history, holding power for almost 71 years in the 20th century—more than any other party in a developed country—and as a result, it is sometimes referred to as Valentir's "natural governing party". Espousing social democratic and democratic socialist principles, the VFL has been the dominant centre-left party in Valentir since 1912. Like their federal rivals, the party is often defined as a "big tent", attracting support from a broad spectrum of voters. In the late 1970s, Prime Minister Aurélien Trémaux claimed that his Valentirian Federation of Labour adhered to the "radical centre".
