Gabrielle Tousart (born 27 August 2021) has been Chancellor of Connuriste on multiple occasions, serving most recently from 2084 to 2088, previously having been appointed on a temporary basis after an assassination effort made against Aurelia MacDonald on the 21st of December 2082. Tousart had previously served two terms as elected Chancellor of Connuriste between 2069 and 2077, before being succeeded by Chancellor MacDonald. Tousart was also at this same time succeeded by Chancellor MacDonald in the role of head of the Christian Democrats political party, a role she had served in for a decade since the assassination of Évelyne Valen in 2067.

Tousart was relatively successful in her two previous terms as Chancellor of Connuriste, having succeeded Erwin Müller of the Swiss People's Front after his dismissal in 2069. The first year of her leadership was not one without challenges, in fact even the day after her election, on November 8, Emperor Connor II fell ill, collapsing whilst preparing a statement on affairs in Gran Gregana. Furthermore, in February of 2070, Empress Charlotte's plane was lost near Haroa, with her presumed dead. The Emperor, stricken with grief, asked the Regency Council to convene, who appointed the Empress's brother, Prince Leopold, who would later become King of Beliany. He served until the return of the Emperor on July 29. Empress Charlotte would later be found and returned to Connuriste in January of 2071, after which the state of affairs in Connuriste became less tense and returned to a more normal level.

Chancellor Tousart enjoyed (and still enjoys) a decent level of popularity in the country, she is seen by many as an uncontroversial character. Her seniority in comparison to other heads of government in the recent history of Connuriste, such as Valen or MacDonald, also made her an experienced member of the upper echelons of governance, which has made her a prominent figure in national politics even since the 2077 election.

Gabrielle Tousart is unique in the fact that she is the only person to have ever served three terms of Chancellorship in the history of Connuriste.

Personal Life

Gabrielle Tousart is known to live in the countryside with her husband and three children. She tries to keep a low profile in the media, so much so that during her two terms as Chancellor, her number two in the party (Aurelia MacDonald) was pictured with the Emperor more often than she was. Gabrielle is well known as a Swiss Catholic, frequently seen at her local church on Sundays.

One of her daughters, Camille Tousart, currently serves as a member of parliament in the Imperial Council, as a member of the Christian Democrats.
