Kosta Coanda is a retired four-star general in the Imperial Army of Polonge who currently serves as the 6th Prime Minister of Polonge. He has previously served as Chief of Army Staff in service of the Empresses Maria Anna and Maria Christina. He is a 2050 graduate of the Imperial Military Academy where he was commissioned as an Armor Officer shortly afterwards. During his more than 20 years of active service he has held command and staff positions across the Army and fought and lead forces in several conflicts such as the Estovakian War and the Seidanese War. Coanda entered the world of politics in 2083 when he became the Head of the Hagyomány Party or Traditionalists Party in opposition of the Progressive Party and his long time rival, Nickolaus von Hopfer. In 2085, during the midst of the National Assembly’s first ever general election, Coanda was seen at the forefront of the Traditionalist Party. Following the Traditionalists taking 62% of the seats in the National Assembly, the greatest shift in Polongain history, Coanda was sworn in as Prime Minister of Polonge.
