Asteria, officially the Democratic Republic of Asteria (Asteria: Λαϊκή Δημοκρατία της Αστερίας Romanization: Laïkí Dimokratía tis Asterías), is a country in southeastern Europe, on the southernmost tip of the Balkan Peninsula. At the crossroads of Europe, Africa, and Asia, Asteria is considered the birthplace of western democracy, philosophy, mathematics, and literature.
