The list of rulers of Tava includes rulers of Tava with various titles. The officials appointed by Tinza used the titles of "viceroy" (Tavan: ; cëlon, Tinzan: བཀའ་བློན; kalön) During the later Rögzön dynasty rulers usually held the title "everking" (Tavan: ; mophëbrel, Tinzan: གྱེལྰྤོ་མྟྷ་བྲེལ; gyel-po mtha brel). Later dynasties would each use different titles:
While many other monarchs existed in and around Tava throughout its history, this list covers only those with a legitimate claim to, and control of, the majority of Tava, or those who have traditionally been named in dynastic histories. Tavan sovereigns were known by many different names, though they are often identified by one of their names depending on their dynasty. Sometimes the same sovereign is commonly known by two or three separate names, some of them in their native language, or in prestige languages such as Classical Xiaodongese, Middle Japanese or Tinzan.
