Monasticism in Costeny (Razarian: monaštvo) refers to various practices of separation from secular life and spiritual self-regimentation in Costeny. Monasticism is practiced in order to avoid temptation by the Demiurge via material life that it creates, as well as to approach enlightenment on the true nature of the universe which would see corresponding expansion of spiritual power. Monasticism in Costeny is practiced alone, with no organizations dedicated to the effort, and is regarded as an entirely individual undertaking, as with much of Cositene spiritual accomplishment.
