The Confederate Empire of Phoenicia strives to democratically connect with other nations. Believing that open dialogue and diplomacy is the key to peace in the world.

While the Confederate Empire of West Phoenicia is a member of the World Assembly it often finds itself at odds with the corruption, petty squabbles and red tape that restricts the World Assembly from actually assisting the world body.


The Confederate Empire of West Phoenicia has a large number of embassies across the globe. In return a number of nations have embassies in West Phoenicia which are located in 7 keys areas located around the nation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is one of the first government departments to be created in West Phoenicia.
 
On 26th January 1587, one year after West Phoenicia gained its independence, it opened the Foreign Diplomatic Office in Melbourne-Haven; the countries capital.
 
[[Sir Levi Dorcas]] was appointed as the first minister of Foreign Diplomatic Affairs. The appointment caused some controversy as he was cousin to the new king. Many politicans were concerned if the government would consist of only the Dorcas family or would other  people be given the freedom to run government ministries.
 
Its primary goal at the beginning was to build relationships and foster diplomatic ties with nearby nations. It also dealt heavily with The Empire of Greater Phoenicia, and spent time trying to arrange an uneasy peace with an Empire who now despised them.
