The Aletian Empire, officially the Greater Aletian Empire, is a legalist monarchy located in the core of the Aletian cluster, four hundred and sixty thousand light years to the northeast of the Milky Way galaxy. Its capital and largest city is Alexandria, which is located on the northern part of its homeworld, Laurentia III. With a population of over four hundred billion inhabitants and a gross domestic product of over ten quadrillion credits, the Aletian Empire is one of the most populous states and largest economies within the Aletian cluster. The Aletian Empire is also the largest political, economic, and military power within the Aletian cluster, and a technological leader in many fields, including cybernetics, hypernautics, and nano technology. Furthermore, it has developed a very high standard of living and a comprehensive social welfare system. It has also been the home of many influential scientists, artists, and inventors, and is known throughout the cluster for its cultural, political, and military history.
