His father William Airè was a 4th generation dairy farmer, while his mother Doris Airè ran a local bakery.
He was the youngest of three siblings.
When he was not helping his parents on the farm he attended primary school and high school in Genesis Woodlands.
In high school he was an average grade student but enjoyed home economics and health studies.
Aaron was on the high school baseball and basketball teams.
From an early age he had a jeen interest in health, nutrition and the body. When he graduated high school he went to study nutrition at the University of Testament Valley. He tried out for the baseball and basketball teams, but was only successful in making it onto the basketball squad where he played the position of point guard.
Early Career
In 1992 after finishing his bachelor's degree in nutrition at the University of Testament Valley he enlisted into the West Phoenician Air force as a Diet Therapist/Nutritional Therapist.
He spent 5 years within the airforce reaching the rank of Corporal/ Senior Airmen.
His commanding officers described him as efficient in his duties and well liked by staff and clients in his care.
After completion of basic training he was posted to WPAF Base Arcus in the city-state of Polytheisa Heaven, where he spent three years. For the last two years of his service he was posted to WPAF Base Blessing in the city-state of Autumn Falls.
Neither of these posting required him to be deployed overseas.
He was considering containing his military career but choose to discharge and move into the field of politics.
Political Career
Aaron Airè began his political career starting at a city-state level and not a national level.
He ran for a seat on the Testament Valley city-state government in his home province of Genesis Woodlands.
Each city-state having their own unicameral parliament, consisting of 20 sitting members.
On a city-state and national level Testament Valley has been a swing state for most of its existence; swinging between the Conservative Party and the West Phoenicia Empire First Party every few elections as the two parties preferred.
Aaron Airè promoted himself as a local candidate with roots in the community as well as his career in the West Phoenician Air force. He also spent hours each day, door knocking and getting an understanding of what the locals were wanting. Come election day he was able to secure one of the two spots. During his term in city-state parliament he put forward a number of ideas suggested by the public he spoke too. Especially in areas of law & Order, health and education.
He chose not to run again at a city-state government level for a second term. officials from within the Conservative Party convinced him his talent was better needed on a national level.
In 2001 he ran to become a member for the West Phoenician Congress representing Genesis Woodlands.
He was successful in obtaining one of the three spots on offering. He obtained 55% in votes. And joined parliament on 1st November 2001.
During the reign of Queen Jezebel Tasman-Bush he was largely ignored by the queen targetting those opposing her reign. He spent most of his time tending to the needs of his electorate ensuring they had adequate healthcare and education. He voted to approve funding for the military, wage increases for low income workers,
He opposed progressive social moral issues as well as supporting the tightning of immigration laws but stood opposed to capital punishment.
He also favoured an increase to welfare programs and opposed further tax cuts for the rich.
He won re-election each time an election was called. He sits at an approval rating of 85% for his electorate. Those that oppose him tend to feel he is too strict on immigration and moral issues, and he has been challenged by members of the progressive left.
In 2013 he was successfully promoted to the role of Minister of Veteran Affairs; a portfolio that deals with delivering government programs for war veterans and members of the West Phoenician Defence Force. The portfolio was close to his heart and he stayed in that role for six years.
During his time in that portfolio he helped redevelop the West Phoenician War Memorial. He oversaw the building of two a new Veterans Hospitals and ensured they were adequately staffed and stocked to do the best job possible. He also funded programs for military and ex military members and their families to receive government funded free mental healthcare. In addition he funded festivals As well as awareness programs to ensure the public continued to understand and celebrate West Phoenicia Defence Force Day on the 11th of November.
Deputy Prime Minister of West Phoenicia
New leader of the Antebellum Conservative Party Countess Tia High personally handpocked Aaron Airè for the role of Deputy Prime Minister.
He was likeable and relatable by the middle class, a vote the party wanted to capitalise on. He had built up a number of skills and experience during his work as a member of Parliament since he was elected in 2001 for the national government. He was a moderate-right member, but was not overky ambitious in wanting the top job or shaking the boat. He also didn't pose a threat to her position as Prime Minister.
During the party room vote, he ran unopposed in 2019.
Media outlets reporting on the party room leadership vote. The media reported that while a number of politicans seemed eager for the deputy role and had voiced so in public, they were dissuaded by Countess Tia High from running for the sake of a truly unified party room leading up to the next election that same year.
