French Maloria, or The Province of Gasconia as it was officially called, was a province of the French Empire under the House of Bourbon and later the French Third Republic until the independence of the Malorian Islands in 1910 during the Malorianese Revolutionary War. French rule began in 1812, after the invasion of the Malorian Islands under Spanish rule. The then-Spanish colony was later integrated into the First French Empire under Napoleon I in 1812, renaming it from the name of Maloria to the Province of Gasconia. The leadership position of Governor of the Province of Gasconia was established not after the integration of the Malorian Islands into the Second French Empire. Throughout the lifespan of the Provjnce of Gasconia, the French colony proved to be troublesome.
In 1890, proto-socialist revolutionaries overthrew and imprisoned the Governor of Gasconia, declaring the city of St. Bernard an autonomous commune named the Bernard Autonomous Region before the uprising being crushed not long after. The 1900s within the Province only provided worse for the French, with 1907 being the breaking point for the citizens of the Malorian Islands, kickstarting the Malorianese Revolutionary War that would eventually make the French Third Republic surrender the land to the Malorianese revolutionaries, with the French withdrawing their troops until 1915.
