The Sampo Pitkänen Opera House is a Valkean opera house in the city of Våren Livet, also known as the Hesperidesian Theater.
History
In the summer of 1885, Ambassador Julius Granius Florens, who was a frequent theatergoer, received Gaius Manius's permission to build a theatre for Hesperidesians living in Våren Livet. The building was designed by the engineer Colonel Gaius Furius Ruso. The auditorium of the theatre was decorated by the Paradise City-born architect Quintus Sura and the Valkean artist Matias Lehto, who created the ceiling paintings which depict twelve dragons, reminding onlookers of the national coat of arms of the Empire of Exponent. The construction was completed in March, 1888, and the building was named after Valkean Sampo Pitkänen.
The grand opening of the opera house occurred on August 23rd, 1888, with Marcellus Brabentius's The Prometheans.
