The Pantra Light Utility Platform' (or L Class) is an Off-road vehicle manufactured by Pantra Automotive Limited in Tarsas. It is used extensively by the Imperial Legion and all other branches of the Tarsan armed forces. It has been offered as a civilian platform since 1981, when the first civilian mode was produced. It is also used in other Romulá Cooperation Organization countries. Despite many upgrades, it has retained the original ruggedness that made it so desirable and is one of the best selling vehicles in Tarsas.

The L1 was put onto the civilian market as the first shipments of vehicles were also being delivered to the military. It was offered in two primary wheelbases, a 2,450mm and a 2,850mm. Production commenced at two separate factories, the Delphius Heavy Vehicle Plant and the Marvius Heavy Production Complex, taking a vast portion of Pantra's production capability at the time. The military version was produced in dozens of variants and configurations whereas the civilian model was produced in only six configurations. Sales of the L1 were on target, with the first quarter marking ten thousand orders. The L1's rugged design and off-road capability made it a popular vehicle for farmers and people in the rural parts of Eastern Tarsas. Many L1s are still in service today.
The vehicle received a face lift in 1980, two years after the initial production models released. Minor changes to the front fascia and rear as well as larger tires were added. The vehicle was named the L1A, though civilians just continued to call it the L Class. It sold well in Tarsas and first hit world markets in 1984, being offered for sale in Rodarion and Estovakiva. Off road enthusiasts have acquired early model L1s and modified them extensively and a specific off road racing league of just L class vehicles, called the L League, is held every year in Tarsas.

The L class was significantly revised in 2010 by Pantra in celebration of its 100 year anniversary. Many previous generation engines were kept due to the extensive number of expert customers that were requesting the same engines as previous models. Pantra opted not to offer all engine choices in main production models. The primary purpose of the L5 was to introduce the 8-speed manual and 9-speed dual clutch transmissions to the lineup. It was found that significantly greater power and fuel savings could be squeezed out of larger engines with more efficient shifting. Thus, Pantra opted to shrink the popular line of heavy duty tractor trailer transmissions into options for the L5.
